Description

Trying to adopt #004 from here: [link]
also coaxing the other Saxon Stables group guys into adopting some, they like the idea but are technology impaired... :U

Name: In The Firelands
Nickname: Fi
Gender: Mare
Breed: Fire Dancer [link]
Colour: Blood bay Smoke, brown eyes
Genotype: EE/AAt/Smsm/igig
Age: 4
Height: 14.2hh
Discipline: hopefully going to go for Western riding
Lineage: Starter
History: Backed and ridden away but no refinement. Is very much a starter horse needing a skilled, quiet rider.
Traits: A bit snobby, doesn't do anything she doesn't like or will throw a tantrum. Ticklish, so care to be taken when saddling up. Pulls funny faces, lots of flehmen. Also lots of rolling about, has a habit of jumping in circles while bored in a pasture. Chases dogs, especially little yappy ones. Plastic Bags are the devil to her. Doesn't like others touching her tail, may freak out. Is very hard to catch and as a result is horrible to lead (jigging, going sideways, bumping into you, stepping on toes). Loves oreos and ginger flavoured stuff. Apple and ginger juice is a favourite treat. Besides these jumpy aspects and her own personal laws are obeyed she is a very pleasing creature to work with, holding an otherwise even temper.

Ink and Ed frowned.

“She’s blatantly ignoring us,” Becca said, looking exasperated with head in a hand, “This one’s a real work in progress.”

The ruddy bay mare had stopped very briefly to stare at the three, and then carried on with her incessant boredom-fuelled circling. A normal horse with a habit like this might do it with a casual stride but not this one. This whole breed was, in Ed’s opinion, completely nutso. This mare was no exception to this crude rule, and was practically flying in a tight ring. The dancing flames in her mane and tail grew with every foot hitting the ground until they rippled the length of her swishing silky hair.

“They’re an amazing bunch though.” Ink was still gawping.

“You should see them when they actually bother to concentrate…” Becca laughed a little.

Ed knew for a fact by the look on Ink's face that her heart was set on this girl, and was trying to avoid the impending headache.

“I’m going to make some calls then…” he began to walk towards the hub of buildings - backwards - his lanky legs sprawling under his reverse gait. “Do you mind?”

“No no, go ahead. I don’t blame you for running off anyway, it’s freezing out here.” Becca mused, gesturing at the sheer amount of frost left on the ground. She turned back to see the little bundle of scarf still hanging over the fence. The horse in the paddock was still treading the same ground, perfectly stuck in her own little world of trying to set fire to the floor under her hooves. Ink turned around with a childish grin on her little face, like she’d just been given a year’s supply of chocolate.

“This one’s brilliant, I do love a challenge!”
